March 23rd 2026. u14 Boys 0 Warwickshire 3

The West Midlands u14 Boys, weakened by the loss of some key players, made the worst possible start by conceding a 3rd minute goal from a poorly defended corner and Warwickshire went on to shade the rest of the first half in this top of the table clash. Maciej Rosiak provided our main attacking threat, forcing the Warwickshire goalkeeper into some good saves and we were extremely unlucky not to be awarded a penalty after he went to ground under pressure after a strong run into the area. This was not the only decision that seemed to go against us on the night but we cannot deny that our opponents were looking the more dominant and creative side and we were indebted to our keeper, Ryan Hall, on more than one occasion for keeping us in the game.

West Midlands made several changes at the break, including the introduction of debutant Oscar Dougherty and both sides continued to create chances as the game remained on a knife edge. Damari MacMillan made an excellent run down the right, using his pace to create a dangerous low cross, which forced the keeper to make a desperate dive at the feet of Gabe Crowton to frantically retrieve the ball but our opponents remained extremely dangerous going forward, and with 10 minutes remaining they were awarded a penalty following another corner. The ball was blasted home giving Ryan Hall no chance and in the closing minutes Warwickshire sealed a deserved victory with a stunning third goal.
