County Trials
West Midlands County Schools' FA County Teams Trials:
(Exclusively for pupils who attend schools in the West Midlands county).
County football is the highest level of school football and an excellent opportunity for players to be recognised as the very best in the West Midlands. Each year, teachers from West Midlands schools nominate their best players to attend the county team trials. Once these trials have concluded, those picked to represent West Midlands County will compete against county associations from across England.
All players selected to represent the County will continue to play for their Sunday league team, RTC or academy team. County football takes place mainly on Monday evenings (for home games) and runs alongside Sunday league and academy football.
The opportunity to play county football for West Midlands should be seen as a huge honour, representing your county at the highest level and can lead to representing England.
Trials for the 2026-27 season will be taking place in the coming weeks. Should you wish your child to be considered for selection please complete the form below:
Please note that players must attend a West Midlands county secondary school in September 2026 to qualify to play for a West Midlands County Team and must have been nominated by their school.
Teachers will invite the parents of players that they consider to be at the appropriate standard, to complete the nomination form below. Players will then be invited to a trial for their age group. Parents will be notified of the details of trials by email.
