April 27th 2026. u16 Boys v Derbyshire 0-2 & 1-0

Updated: May 11

The u16 Boys team entertained Derbyshire at Castle Vale hoping to end their final home game in our colours with a good performance and eventually honours were even as the evening turned into the proverbial game of two halves. With the examination season so close it was apparent that the away fixture would never be played so the decision was taken to count the first 40 minutes of the contest as the away game and the second 40 minutes as the home game as the league had long been decided with neither of our two sides in contention. As it turned out both teams eventually went away happy with Derbyshire winning the first half 2-0 and West Midlands winning the second, by virtue of Archie Garlick scoring his second goal of the campaign.
